We live in a fiercely competitive society. Whether in sports, business, or everyday life, the cultural narrative often tells us that if you don't come in first place, you lost. But that perspective misses the bigger picture.
True winning isn't always about standard leaderboards. A win can be running a race in your best time ever, entering your very first competition, or simply having the courage to step outside your comfort zone. As my mama used to tell me, as long as you tried your absolute best, you won.
I was recently reminded of this lesson in a deeply personal way when I received a client appreciation award as a favorite agent.
Seeing my clients take the time to vote for me was a humbling experience. It validated the late nights, attention to detail, and personal care I pour into my work every day. It proved that real success comes from impact and connection—not just titles.
