There are moments in life when pain becomes so overwhelming that it feels impossible to move forward. I know this because I have lived it.
I have experienced abandonment. I have walked through the heartbreak of divorce. I have cried tears that no one saw and carried wounds that no one understood. There were days when I questioned my worth, my future, and even my ability to heal. The emotional pain was deep, and at times it felt as though my life had been shattered into pieces.
Yet, in the middle of my brokenness, God met me.
When I felt abandoned by people, God reminded me that He would never leave me nor forsake me. When my heart was crushed, He became my comfort. When I felt weak, He became my strength. Through prayer, faith, and God’s unfailing love, I slowly began the journey of healing.
My book, By the Grace of God, I Survived, was born from that journey.
I did not write this book because I had all the answers. I wrote it because I know what it feels like to be hurting and searching for hope. I wrote it for the woman who feels forgotten. I wrote it for the woman who has been abandoned, betrayed, rejected, or left to rebuild her life after divorce. I wrote it for the woman who wonders if she will ever feel whole again.
The truth is that emotional wounds are real. While physical scars may be visible, emotional scars often remain hidden beneath a smile. Many women carry pain from broken relationships, childhood trauma, rejection, and loss. These wounds can affect how we see ourselves, how we trust others, and how we experience life.
Healing does not happen overnight. It is a process.
One of the most important lessons I learned is that healing begins when we allow ourselves to be honest about our pain. We cannot heal what we refuse to acknowledge. For years, I tried to be strong. I tried to hide my hurt. But true healing began when I surrendered my broken heart to God and allowed Him to do the work that only He could do.
I also learned that our identity is not defined by what happened to us. Divorce does not define us. Abandonment does not define us. Rejection does not define us. Our value comes from God, who created us with purpose, dignity, and worth.
Today, I can look back and see that God used my deepest pain to create a testimony. What the enemy intended to destroy me, God used to strengthen me. My scars became evidence of God’s faithfulness.
That is why I am passionate about helping other women heal from emotional wounds. I want women to know that there is life after heartbreak. There is joy after sorrow. There is healing after trauma. Most importantly, there is hope.
If you are reading this and your heart is hurting, I want you to know that your story is not over. The chapter you are in right now is not the end. God is still writing your story. He sees every tear, every struggle, and every silent prayer.
My prayer is that my book encourages women to believe again, to trust again, and to discover that healing is possible through God’s grace. I survived not because I was strong enough on my own, but because God’s grace carried me when I could not carry myself.
By the grace of God, I survived.
And by that same grace, you can heal too.
