Consistency, Growth, & Intention: A Leadership Journey in Motion
From people pleaser to confident leader: How consistency, resilience, and the right choices shaped my journey.
My whole life, I’ve been a people pleaser.
I realized that my journey needed to be built on consistency more than anything else. It wasn’t a straight line, and it certainly wasn’t easy.
Early in my career, I made a conscious decision to say yes to opportunities that pushed me outside of my comfort zone—even when I didn’t feel fully ready.
One of the biggest challenges has been navigating growth without always having a clear roadmap, and learning the balance between saying yes and saying no. There were times when I felt like I had to prove myself, continuously taking on new responsibilities, learning quickly, and figuring things out as I went.
That pressure was difficult, but it also built resilience. It taught me how to adapt, stay focused, and keep moving forward even when things felt uncertain. That mindset opened a lot of doors. Over time, those experiences added up and helped me build both confidence and capability.
As I stepped more confidently into my role—navigating spaces where representation matters—I started to better understand not just how to take on more, but how to take on the right things.
Getting to this point has been the result of showing up every day, learning through challenges, and being willing to evolve.
Without the strong women on my team, I wouldn’t be where I am, and I am grateful every single day for it.
