FAITH IS UNSEEN
Discovering the power of belief in what we cannot see
FAITH IS UNSEEN
What is faith? How do you get it?
Faith and doubt are, metaphorically, a seesaw. Both you and I have the choice to lean in either direction.
Then skepticism sneaks in, and you find yourself acting as the referee of the seesaw:
- Light vs. darkness
- Good vs. bad
- Worry vs. peace
Why do we battle within ourselves this way?
Contrary to what it may seem, when given a recipe, we follow the directions-the ingredients, the order of how to proceed: mix, bake, refrigerate, etc. And we believe. We believe with the end result already envisioned.
We have faith that the final result will reflect the steps we took in following the recipe.
And so it is with faith.
Ask yourself: What is my vision? Where do I need to proceed, and what steps must I take in the direction of that vision?
Doubt will ask, "Will this work?" Quiet that voice with a gentle shhh.
Believe in faith.
It is in the unseen. The recipe process. The baking quiet time. The waiting.
It is in the in-between moments that time creates our vision.
