Two years ago, I made a decision many would consider risky—I walked away from a stable corporate career to build something of my own. But for me, it wasn’t just about starting a business. It was about creating something meaningful, something rooted in purpose, education, and genuine human connection.
That decision became SureNest Insurance Services, a women-owned, locally rooted business dedicated to serving individuals and businesses throughout California.
My journey didn’t begin in insurance. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Francisco State University and later completed my MBA at John F. Kennedy University. While my education shaped my analytical thinking and business acumen, it also reinforced something deeper: I have always been driven to help people. I just needed to find the right path to do it.
That drive has been a constant throughout my life. For decades, I have been actively involved in volunteering and supporting my community—spending time in hospitals, contributing to local libraries, participating in Chamber of Commerce initiatives, and engaging in various community-focused organizations. Giving back has never been an obligation for me; it has been a natural extension of who I am.
For many, insurance feels overwhelming, filled with fine print, unfamiliar terms, and uncertainty. I saw that gap clearly. Too often, people purchase policies without fully understanding what they are paying for, only to discover limitations when it is too late.
That’s where I do things differently.
I don’t just provide quotes—I translate, educate, and guide. I take the time to understand each client’s unique situation, whether they are a small business owner protecting years of hard work or an individual seeking the right personal coverage. I walk them through their policies, break down complex components into simple terms, and ensure they feel confident in their decisions.
I have worked with clients who didn’t realize they had critical gaps in their coverage until we reviewed their policies together, helping them avoid costly surprises and, in many cases, reduce their overall insurance costs. That’s the impact that matters to me.
As a local, women-owned business, I am deeply committed to the communities I serve. My work extends beyond policies—I actively engage with organizations like the Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)–Santa Clara Chapter. These communities allow me to support fellow entrepreneurs, build meaningful relationships, and continue growing alongside other driven professionals.
Education remains at the core of everything I do. That’s why I launched a blog dedicated to breaking down insurance topics into clear, accessible insights. It is another way I empower individuals and business owners to make informed decisions—without the confusion or pressure that often comes with this industry.
