Reclaiming My Voice, My Power, and My Life After Domestic Abuse

For years, I carried a story that many women live in silence. From the outside, my life looked like that of many others: a family, dreams, responsibilities, and the desire to build a happy home.

But behind closed doors, I was facing emotional pain, a toxic relationship, and a battle that slowly affected my confidence and the way I saw myself.

Leaving a toxic relationship is not as simple as people often believe. It is not just about walking away. It involves fear, hope, emotional attachment, children, memories, and the complicated process of accepting that the life you dreamed of is no longer the reality you are living.

Many women are judged by people who do not know their full stories. They hear questions like, “Why did she stay?” or “Why didn’t she leave sooner?” But what many fail to understand is that leaving an unhealthy relationship requires courage, preparation, support, and a process of rebuilding yourself.

My journey included the pain of separation, the challenges of motherhood, and the emotional impact of continuing to navigate a difficult legal process. But during that storm, something inside me began to change.

I realized that I could not control everything happening around me, but I could choose who I wanted to become.

I began rebuilding myself from the inside out.

Healing was not about pretending the pain never happened. Healing was about finding my voice again, rediscovering my worth, and understanding that my past would not define my future.

Through this journey, I found strength in my faith, spirituality, reflection, and personal growth. Whether through prayer, meditation, yoga, or any practice that brings peace and connection, I believe every person needs something that reminds them they are not alone and that their life has purpose.

During my transformation, I also found a new opportunity to believe in love again. I am now building a relationship based on support, partnership, and shared dreams. Together, we are creating a company focused on artificial intelligence, proving that after difficult seasons, new beginnings and new dreams are possible.

I also created my podcast, “De Víctima a Dueña,” as a way to share my story and create a space where other women can feel seen, heard, and understood.

My purpose is not to remain defined by what happened to me, but to use my voice to inspire others.

This story is not only about surviving domestic abuse. It is about transformation.

Today, I am no longer the woman who felt trapped by her circumstances. I am a woman who chose herself, who continues to grow, who dreams again, and who is becoming the owner of her own story.

Because a woman is not defined by the pain she experienced. She is defined by the courage she finds to rise, rebuild, and create a new life.

This is my story.

This is my transformation.

This is De Víctima a Dueña.
