As a mother, I can't stop thinking about one number:
63 children die every day from sudden cardiac arrest.
My daughter, Laylani, was almost one of them.
After her life-saving open-heart surgery, we made a promise that if she was given a second chance, we would spend that second chance helping save other children. Today, at just 13 years old, she's leading that mission as a Youth Ambassador for HeartCharged, raising awareness about CPR, AEDs, and sudden cardiac arrest.
We're incredibly close to funding our first AED through our campaign.
One AED. One child. One family whose story could end differently.
