Honoring the Women Who Changed the World
Honoring the courage and resilience of women throughout history and today.
Standing beside the Women of World War II Memorial in London made me think not only about the women of that generation, but about the strength of women everywhere.
During the war, women stepped into roles they had never expected—serving as nurses, working in factories, driving ambulances, supporting the military, caring for their families, and doing whatever was needed to keep life moving forward. Many never called themselves heroes. They simply showed up, sacrificed, and kept going.
And that same kind of courage can be seen in women all over the world today—in mothers, daughters, caregivers, leaders, teachers, doctors, workers, and women quietly carrying responsibilities that others may never fully see.
This memorial reminded me to be grateful not only for the women who served during World War II, but for every woman who has shown courage, strength, compassion, and resilience in her own way.
Some heroes are remembered in history books. Others are standing beside us every day.
