New Beginnings Are Possible!

Prioritize Your Wellness: Why Self-Care Is Essential, Not Selfish

As the holidays come and go and we settle back into our “normal” routines, I believe this is a great time of year to reflect on what you want for yourself in the area of wellness.

As a mompreneur, I am extremely passionate about women taking time for themselves, despite the many roles they occupy. In a world inundated with selfish ambition, we often view self-care through that same lens.

Let’s dispel that theory today, ladies!

Self-care is a necessity, not a luxury.

So, if you are a woman who believes that self-care is not an option, here are some steps you can take starting today:

  • Shift your mindset. Accept that self-care is for you—busy life and all.
  • Be intentional. Take time to think about what you want for yourself as we enter a new year.
  • Create a plan of action. This is when your ideas and goals become reality. Write them down. Schedule that salon visit, ladies—this step is key!
  • Execute. Now it’s time to mean what you say and do the work.

So yes—this is a season of new beginnings, ladies. One where we can walk in womanhood and motherhood with greater clarity and confidence in 2026. I believe in you!
