Radiating Purpose: Innovation and Heart Behind the Image

To know me is to understand the relentless drive that fuels everything I do — a drive instilled in me by my mother from a young age. She taught me resilience, hard work, and an unwavering belief that education holds the power to open any door — guiding me toward success in every direction of my life. Those lessons became the foundation of who I am as an educator and leader in Radiologic Science.

For me, education is more than a profession — it is a calling. From my first day in the classroom, I realized that teaching Radiologic Technology is not just about transferring knowledge; it is about transforming lives. Today, that transformation requires a balance of tradition and innovation. I combine time-tested teaching methods with modern advancements such as simulation labs and digital collaboration tools to create real-world learning experiences that prepare students for both their ARRT certification and the rapidly evolving landscape of healthcare technology.

At Cambridge College of Healthcare and Technology, we are building something truly one-of-a-kind — a radiologic science program that redefines what excellence in healthcare education looks like. By merging technology, critical thinking, hands-on training, and leadership development, we are shaping graduates who do not just meet industry standards — they set them.

I challenge my students to master more than one modality after graduation — to become versatile professionals who excel not only in X-ray, but as skilled technologists in CT, MRI, and other advanced imaging disciplines. Every scan and every patient interaction is an opportunity to unite precision with compassion. My goal is to cultivate technologists who think critically, adapt confidently, and lead with purpose.

To further strengthen my impact in education, I am pursuing a Master’s in Education and Instructional Design at Western Governors University (WGU). This program deepens my understanding of learning theory, curriculum design, and technology integration, empowering me to enhance how students learn, engage, and succeed in radiologic sciences.

Beyond the classroom, I extend my passion for teaching through @RadBitsWithMrsF on TikTok — a platform where I share educational insights, radiology tips, and inspiration for students and professionals alike. It is another way to make learning accessible, engaging, and connected to modern trends in educational technology.

The greatest reward in my work is witnessing transformation — seeing students grow from hesitant beginners into confident professionals who make an impact in hospitals, clinics, and classrooms. That transformation is the true measure of success: legacy through leadership.

My mother taught me to lead with purpose; my students remind me why that purpose matters. Together, we radiate excellence — not only through the images we capture, but through the lives we touch.
