Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging from Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg and is pursuing a Master of Education in Educational/Instructional Technology at Western Governors University. What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

My greatest challenge in radiology has been balancing tradition with innovation—honoring the proven methods that define our field while embracing the technologies that are reshaping it. Yet within that challenge lies my greatest opportunity: to build a program that develops multi-modality technologists who lead with both skill and heart, blending precision, empathy, and innovation to shape the future of patient care.

The values that guide my life and work are deeply rooted in faith, love, and perseverance. My faith keeps me grounded in purpose; my husband’s love and unwavering support remind me that no dream is too great when it’s built on partnership; resilience fuels me to rise stronger through every challenge; and keeping an open mind allows me to keep learning, evolving, and embracing innovation with heart.
