Delivering Hope and Comfort: A Mission to Help Children in Need
As a member of a team that delivers beds to children in need in the Orlando, FL, area, it gives me great pleasure to volunteer my time. When you see the look on these children's faces, it is more rewarding than I can express.
My friends and I want to open another chapter northeast of Orlando. Some of these children have lost parents or are experiencing the effects of divorce. We don't always know the exact circumstances, but this effort allows children to stay with family members in a safe and comfortable environment. The adults are very appreciative and grateful for our efforts. We typically deliver beds in teams of four, usually two men and two women.
I began volunteering in memory of my son, who passed away from brain cancer at the age of 40. He loved teaching children about God, and caring for children's well-being was his mission.
