Stand Near, Serve well, and Make an Impact
The Power of Presence: How Simply Showing Up Can Transform Lives
As I stood in my green-and-white dress near the graduates of the Class of 2026, I was reminded that influence is not always found at the podium or in the spotlight. Sometimes, it is found in simply being present.
Throughout my journey in education, I have learned that some of the most meaningful moments happen when we choose to stand beside others—encouraging, mentoring, advocating for, and believing in them when they need it most.
To every woman reading this: never underestimate the power of your presence. You do not have to be the loudest voice in the room to make a difference. Show up. Serve well. Stay close to the people you are called to impact.
Because true influence is not about being seen—it is about making sure others know they are seen.
And if I can leave one message for women everywhere, it is this: Stand near. Pour into others. And watch how your presence changes lives.
