Taking Action — Not Just Talking About It
An independent media platform dedicated to cold cases, missing persons, and the pursuit of justice through investigative journalism.

Take action. Don’t just talk about it.
What Alternative Eye Stands For
Alternative Eye is an independent media and investigative journalism platform. We focus on cold cases, missing persons, MMIP (Missing and Murdered Indigenous People), and the structural failures that allow cases to go cold in the first place.
Our editorial standards are simple but non-negotiable:
- Survivors and families come before spectacle.
- Experts speak for themselves. We platform investigators, profilers, advocates, and law enforcement professionals — not pundits.
- Accountability over access. We do not soften coverage to preserve relationships or convenience.
- Action over awareness. Awareness without action is entertainment. We build pathways for tips, advocacy, and meaningful follow-through.
Why This Recognition Matters
Being recognized by Influential Women means more to me than a personal accolade. It signals that this work — the families we serve, the experts who trust us, and the cases we refuse to let fade — is being seen.
It also reinforces why representation in this space is so urgent. The investigative and media industries have historically been shaped by a narrow range of voices. When women lead these conversations — especially women who have done the field work, sat with grief, and refused to look away — the questions change. The priorities change. The outcomes change.
What I Aim to Build Beyond the Headlines
In the investigative space, I aim to:
- Elevate working experts — detectives, profilers, genealogists, and advocates — and provide a platform that respects their craft.
- Examine systems that have failed victims for decades, particularly in MMIP cases and unresolved violence against women.
- Establish an editorial standard for true crime journalism that other outlets can be measured against.
In the community, I aim to:
- Mentor the next generation of women entering investigative, forensic, and media careers.
- Create direct pathways for families to be heard through our Family Voices program, tip systems, and live coverage.
- Show younger generations — especially young women — that this work can be done without compromising values, safety, or voice.
Personally, I aim to:
- Stay accountable to the families who trust me with their loved ones’ stories.
- Continue showing up for the work that does not trend.
- Use every platform available to bring more women, more survivors, and more truth into rooms they have historically been excluded from.
A Final Word
Strength is not loud. It is consistent.
It is the families who continue searching after 30 years.
It is the investigators who keep working cases no one funds.
It is the women who keep building when no one is clapping.
If Alternative Eye stands for one thing, it is this: you are not alone, your case is not forgotten, and the work continues.
