THE ARCHITECTURE OF MALICIOUS TACTICS PART 2 BY ELAINE ELLE ESPINOSA ©️ 2026

Finding Peace When Family Becomes Your Greatest Challenge

Christmas...

As I mentioned before, my stepmother made a rude gesture and insulted me in front of my whole family. Though I knew no one would stand up for me except my grandmother, who was in her 80s at the time, I decided to swallow my cries, embarrassment, and responses to my evil stepmother and just smile at everyone as if I had not heard her. Even though I did, inside, I was so upset and felt completely caught off guard.

The best way to describe my feelings at the time is to imagine that you're the quarterback and, just when you're about to say, "Hut 1, Hut 2, and Hut 3!" and catch the ball, the opposing player pushes you hard enough to send you to the sideline without even giving you a chance to catch it. That's the best way to describe her evil tactics on Christmas Day. 🎄

I learned that these demonic people, because people like her do exist, find nothing greater than seeing your aura dim. When you're dealing with demonic people, the best way to navigate the situation is to pray—and not just any prayer, but Psalm 91.

I learned through the years that my father would also label me very negatively for no reason, as if I should have to pay the price for their mistakes, too. I realized I'm totally alone in this world and that no one will come to my rescue. 💔 No one.

I have two brothers whom I have not spoken to in decades, since I was in high school, and they don't care whether I'm alive or dead. My stepmother tried not only to abuse me severely, mentally and emotionally, but also to block any path to success for me. Most importantly, my dad, unfortunately, has not changed his habit of labeling me and wishing negative things for me, even at age 85. And the irony of it all is that I'm still taking care of him. He tends to lash out at me for no reason at all, as if I'm his mental punching bag.

I learned to accept the truth and accept that no matter what I do or say, 💯 they don't want my viewpoint. They want my reactions to satisfy their malicious, twisted, evil feelings toward me.

It's my responsibility, I learned, to take care of and guard my inner child, my heart, and my soul. No one else will. It's just my responsibility.
