From Vision to Reality: How Planning and Action Transform Dreams Into a Life That Feels Like Your Own
Think Bigger. Make a Plan. Bring the Energy. Go for It.
There is something powerful about deciding to really go for something—not halfway, but with a plan, a big vision, excitement, and the willingness to do the work.
That is the way I want to live my life.
I have learned that a dream is wonderful, but a dream by itself is not a plan. I believe in thinking big while creating structure behind that vision. What do I want? Why do I want it? What can I do today that moves me closer? Once I have a direction, I go after it with energy. That energy makes the process exciting and turns challenges into opportunities to grow.
My journey from technology and product design to becoming an artist taught me this personally. For years, art was a passion I carried alongside my professional life. Eventually, I had to decide: Was I going to keep saying one day, or was I going to create a plan and make the dream part of my reality?
I chose the second.
I began treating my art not simply as something I loved, but as something I was willing to build. That meant learning, experimenting, putting myself out there, facing rejection, exhibiting, meeting collectors, and continually challenging myself. It wasn't always easy, but it was exhilarating.
One of the biggest lessons I have learned is that confidence often comes after action, not before it. We tell ourselves, "When I feel confident, I will do it." I have found that it works the other way around. You take the step. You show your work. You walk into the room. Every time you do something that once frightened you, you discover that you are capable of more than you thought.
I believe women should give themselves permission to think bigger than what feels practical. We are often good at being responsible and realistic, but those qualities should not become limitations. A big dream doesn't mean abandoning common sense. It means refusing to let fear decide the size of your life.
And then comes the part that matters most: you have to go for it.
Planning without action becomes procrastination. Vision without action remains imagination. At some point, you have to step forward and make yourself vulnerable to both success and failure.
For me, that willingness to go for it has brought some of the most soul-fulfilling moments of my life. Seeing my artwork move from an idea in my studio to exhibitions, collectors, and eventually Miami Art Week was satisfying because it represented something deeper: I had imagined something, created a plan, put my energy behind it, faced uncertainty, and followed it through.
That is the feeling of alignment—when what you are doing on the outside begins to match what you have been carrying inside.
That, to me, is success.
Not simply a title or recognition, but waking up excited about what you are building, challenging yourself, and putting your energy toward something that matters.
So, to every woman with a dream sitting quietly in the back of her mind: make a plan. Think bigger. Raise your standards. Bring your energy and excitement to the journey—and then go for it.
You may surprise yourself with what becomes possible.
The greatest reward may simply be knowing that you had the courage to create a life that feels like your own.
