My sister and I built two very different lives.
She is a CEO who built her own salon, bringing confidence to whoever sits in her chair through her talent, skill, and gift for making people feel like the best versions of themselves.
I am a CEO with a doctorate, building through education, research, insight, and purpose.
She has her tools.
I have mine.
Our paths are different. Our determination is the same.
Moreover, that is what I want every woman to know:
You do not have to do what I do.
You do not have to do what my sister does.
You have to do what is yours and give it everything you have.
Because extraordinary is not a profession.
It is not a title.
It is not a degree.
It is a decision to care deeply about what you are building and refuse to give it anything less than your best.
Whatever your work is, make it matter.
Whatever your gift is, use it.
Whatever your dream is, give it a chance.
And whatever is in your hands today,
Do not underestimate it.
A pair of scissors can become a business.
Knowledge can become a calling.
An idea can become a future.
A classroom can become a turning point.
A kitchen table can become the beginning of an empire.
You never know what your smallest beginning can become.
My sister and I did not need the same map.
We needed the courage to follow our own.
And neither of us built everything in one day.
We built our legacy by showing up.
Learning.
Working.
Failing.
Trying again.
And refusing to let one difficult day end the story.
That is how confidence is built.
Not by waiting until you feel ready.
By moving before you feel ready.
