What Women’s Equality Means to Me
To me, women’s equality today means recognizing that women and men are equally valuable, equally loved, and equally created with purpose by God.
Equality does not mean that we have to be the same or compete with one another. It means honoring the God-given gifts, voices, callings, and contributions of women while walking in the unique purpose God has placed on each of our lives.
From the very beginning, God created both male and female in His image (Genesis 1:27). Women are not an afterthought, nor are we without purpose. Throughout Scripture, we see women such as Deborah, Esther, Ruth, Mary, and Priscilla being used by God in powerful ways.
Women’s equality means having the freedom to walk boldly in our God-given purpose—to use our voices, serve, lead, create, build, nurture, and make an impact—while still honoring God and His design for our lives.
For me, it is not about proving that women are better than men. It is about understanding that, in Christ, our worth is not determined by our gender, status, title, or the opinions of others.
God has given each of us purpose, and we should have the opportunity to fulfill it.
“There is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” — Galatians 3:28
That is what women’s equality means to me: knowing our worth, embracing our purpose, using our voices, and walking confidently in the calling God has placed on our lives.
