What It Felt Like writing this book.
A Journey from Grief to Rebirth: Honoring Love and the Birth of Square Hallo
Today, I honor the call of the sun and thank the universe for guiding me through my circle of life—from the pain of loss to the rebirth found through my husband and the publication of our book, Square Hallo. The title inspired me to never give up. Giving up was never something I embraced, and remembering what he meant to me feels like a moment I could never forget.
Writing this book brought a sense of closure to our story, while also marking a new beginning in our journey. Even though we are in different places now, I have always known that what we shared was special. That knowing helped me grow—not only as a woman, but in understanding that death may be a continuation of love shared with the unknown.
What I would tell others about navigating grief is this: keep going, and share love with as many people as you can. Without my husband’s love, this book would never have been possible.
Love,
B. A. Blalock
P.S. Happy Heavenly Birthday, David—and happy “new birth” birthday to Square Hallo, our publication.
