Who is this ME I SEE?
Becoming Your Own Kindest Parent: A Guide to Self-Compassion and Inner Wisdom
Why all this jargon terminology?
- Self
- Ego
- Alter ego
- Consciousness
- Subconsciousness
- Etc.
What if…
It is all much simpler than labeling?
Stick with me here.
Everything in life is a metaphor. Let’s look at family dynamics: mother, father, siblings, relatives.
What if…
We stand in relation to ourselves? What if we step into the role of our own parents? Our greatest hero already lives inside you and me.
Think about this. That judge we have in our head takes on a different name—like a kinder reference we might use for a mother or father. Whether or not your biological parents were kind or fair, you can choose to become the parent you always wanted to have. The ones who would have supported you, guided you, and believed in you. They shape us as our earliest and most powerful role models.
YOU have the power to create within. Begin with unconditional love for yourself.
The greatest message I want to share is this: you must be kinder and more patient with yourself.
Now go on with what you were doing. Remember to be kind and patient with yourself. You absolutely deserve that respect.
And stay in your own lane. You will only see one driver in a car filled with passengers. Who rides inside your vehicle? You choose.
