With God, ALL things are possible! The Unforeseen Influence:

We never know the impact we have on others.

With God, ALL things are possible! The Unforeseen Influence:

I recently discovered something breathtaking while preparing this article—something that I hope will empower and inspire you. Until now, I never thought of myself as someone who empowers or inspires others. But through this journey, I’ve realized the profound impact I’ve had on the lives of others—especially children.

The first person who came to mind was our beautiful, smart little neighbor girl. I reached out to her. She is grown now, with her own daughter. Thirty years ago, we both lived in Michigan; now, I live in Florida and she lives in Wisconsin. After three decades, she tracked me down to reconnect, showing me a love like that of a daughter. This was especially meaningful since my husband had passed away a couple of years prior.

She reminded me of the lessons I had imparted to her as a child—teaching her the value of hard work, investing, and perseverance. I had forgotten the small moments, like letting her cut the lawn to earn money when she was ten. Yet she remembered, and she shared how much it had influenced her journey. Today, she is a remarkable woman, carrying forward what she learned. That moment filled me with joy.

Then I asked myself, who’s next?

I thought of my best friend in Michigan—a woman of few words, with a thriving business, whom I’ve known since college. When I asked if I had ever empowered or inspired her, she said simply, “I cannot believe that you are my friend—and that is enough.” I laughed and cried at the same time.

Next, I thought of a recent co-worker who had been bullied at work and was considering quitting. QUIT is not in my vocabulary—and it shouldn’t be in yours. I advised her to report the behavior but also to respond with, “God bless you,” trusting God to fight the battle for her. She told me later that my words had helped her stay, and she has not quit. Praise the Lord!

Then came a family I worked with—a husband, wife, and five beautiful children. They told me, “You bring joy. You are like Florida sunshine, always with a warm welcome and a smile.” Their words warmed my heart.

Next, a senior businesswoman told me she admired my attention to detail, my ability to make others feel safe, and my consistent positivity. That made me happy beyond words.

Then, a young local businesswoman shared that I inspired her to keep going, no matter what life brings. She noticed my constant growth and dedication to learning at every stage of life. She said that my example encouraged her to persevere, and it deeply touched me.

Another young woman, whose family survived a traumatic accident, told me that I inspire her daily. She said I show strength, grace, and a steady presence that makes people feel special. She described how I influence hearts, not crowds, and expressed her gratitude for my consistent support and encouragement. I couldn’t hold back my tears.

Next, a retired teacher I’ve known for years reminded me how I had supported her during her struggles with the school system, giving her advice and helping her safeguard her future retirement. I remembered that difficult battle—and it reminded me how our actions ripple through time.

And so I asked myself again—what’s next?

We never truly know the impact we have on others or the lives we touch. Every kind word, every act of support, every lesson shared, can shape a person’s journey in ways we may never see. My hope is that this story inspires you to keep showing up, to keep giving, and to keep being your best self.

We are all part of something greater, and even when we don’t realize it, our actions matter. Everything happens for a reason, and God is in charge. We are in His hands—and we couldn’t be in a better place.

God bless you all.
