WOMEN @ 60. AGE IS ON YOUR SIDE ;CONGRATULATIONS
Embracing a New Chapter: Practical Steps to Thrive and Find Fulfillment in Your 60s
Now That I Am Approaching 60 Years of Age — What Next?
Congratulations—you made it to 60. Remember, not everyone who was born made it to 60. To me, 60 is a golden age where you can now focus on yourself. What I call “doing you.”
By this time, your kids are grown, and whether you are married or not, it is time to focus on yourself and allow others to focus on themselves, while still making room for connection, togetherness, and meaningful relationships on your own terms.
Whatever you have done up to this point may no longer be the most relevant focus. The real question becomes: what do you want to do from here?
This is where your attention should shift.
Before this age, many people were influenced by others—parents, teachers, leaders, employers, and societal expectations. Even when advice was not always right, you followed it anyway, and your life was shaped by those influences.
Now, you have lived through those experiences. You understand the pros and cons of what works for you and what does not.
It is time to identify your own life—what brings you fulfillment, peace, and happiness—and begin a new journey of impact.
