Stacey E. E Brown: Speaker: Stacey Brown, Sterile Processing ManagerStacey Brown: Influence isn't about your title. It's not about your status or your recognition. What does being an Influential Woman mean to you?Stacey Brown: Hello. My name is Stacy Brown and I have the honor to be a part of the influential Women Platform with so many extraordinary women. I've been asked what does it mean to be an influential woman. To me, being an influential woman means walking boldly in the purpose that God has placed in my heart. Not only in my heart and my life, while uplifting others as I rise. Influence isn't about your title. It's not about your status or your recognition. It's about. How we serve one another, how we lead, and how we impact lives of others. An influential woman. Understands that her voice, her journey, and even her challenges are sources that can help encourage other women and guide them and to their potential. It also means choosing to lead with integrity, um, wisdom, compassion, and courage. It means to recognize that influence is a. It's not about standing above others, but it's about standing beside them and helping them realize who they are and their potential, their own potential. Or what they can be and what God has called them to be. When women support women. We do that with being mentors and we empower one another. Um, we create what is called a rippling effect that reaches beyond ourselves, but it reaches out and transforms into the community, our families, and future generations. That's what it means to be an influential woman. What piece of advice would I give a younger woman who is trying to chase their dreams? One piece of advice I would give is to never ever underestimate their perseverance or faith. Never. Never underestimate the power. Of their perseverance and faith Your journey, it will always. Be a struggle. I wouldn't say a struggle, but it won't be easy. There's gonna be obstacles, there's gonna be moments of doubt. There's gonna be moments that you feel that things are not going as planned, um, they're not unfolding the way you thought they would. But those are sources or moments that are not to be considered setbacks. They're to be considered setups. This is how God is trying to strengthen you to become the woman that he knows you can be. He's trying to prepare you for your purpose. So without these moments of trials and tribulations, which are called tests for your testimonies or messages. You wouldn't be able to. Influence anyone. So don't look at this as a negative. This is a positive. This is something that God's placed in your life so that you can use it, so he, he's preparing you to become the woman that he knows you can be. So that means you have to stay focused on your purpose. You have to surround yourself with people who are gonna support your growth, who are gonna never give up on you, who's gonna encourage you, but also, you need to not be afraid to step into spaces where you feel uncertain. Spaces where people have said that you don't belong, but you do belong. With your head up, shoulders back, and walk in there because God has placed a gift in your life and that's where you belong. So don't allow fear or comparison limit you. And believing it's possible for your life. Don't allow that. And don't let your dreams. Of being in a place that you've prayed for. Don't let someone try to snuff it out or try to stop you and say no, that's not your purpose or your calling. Because you have to continue to grow, you have to continue to learn, and you have to continue walking confidently in the direction of your calling. And when you have reached your purpose that you pray for, remember to reach back and to help another woman and rise as you rise. That's what it means to be influential.

Her Interview
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to leading a well-trained, highly prepared team and drawing on many years of hands-on experience managing and developing technical staff. My leadership approach is grounded in collaboration, continuous learning, and ensuring that my team has the tools, training, and support they need to perform at their best. I am deeply grateful for the mentors who have guided me, the surgeons and clinical partners who have trusted and challenged me to grow, and the unwavering support of my husband, family, and friends. Their encouragement, accountability, and belief in my vision have strengthened my resilience and reinforced my commitment to excellence in patient care.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to always keep God first in my life and allow my faith to guide my decisions, especially in moments of uncertainty or pressure. Grounding my work in purpose and integrity has shaped how I lead and serve others. I also carry with me advice from a respected surgeon early in my career who told me, “Always pay attention to detail—every detail matters and counts when it concerns patient care.” That wisdom reinforced the responsibility we carry behind the scenes. In healthcare, precision is not optional; it is a safeguard for lives. Together, faith and attention to detail have become the foundation of my leadership philosophy.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice I would give to young women entering this industry is to define your own purpose and never allow others to determine your worth or your destiny. You alone are responsible for validating who you are and what you are capable of becoming. When you allow others to define your path, your peace and happiness can easily be overshadowed by their expectations. Stay confident in your calling, invest in your skills, and never underestimate the value you bring to the table.
Most importantly, keep your focus on God and allow Him to direct your steps. There will be challenges, long days, and unexpected storms, but faith provides strength and clarity when circumstances feel overwhelming. Keep your eyes on God during both success and struggle. He will guide you through every season, and in moments when you feel weak, He will sustain you. Purpose, preparation, and faith will carry you farther than fear ever could.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is keeping hospitals and sterile processing departments compliant with regulatory agencies like The Joint Commission and maintaining inspection-ready processes at all times. This also creates an opportunity to strengthen staff training, standardize best practices, and reinforce a culture focused on patient safety and continuous compliance.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The value most important to me in both my work and personal life is my faith in God. My faith is the foundation that guides my decisions, shapes my character, and anchors me during both success and adversity. It influences how I lead, how I serve, and how I treat others—with integrity, humility, and purpose.
In addition to faith, I deeply value preparedness, accountability, and attention to detail. Being prepared creates confidence and stability, accountability builds trust, and strong attention to detail ensures excellence—especially when patient safety is at stake. I am also grounded by the love and support of my husband and family, who keep me centered and remind me of what truly matters. Finally, I believe in staying true to who I am and not allowing others to define my identity or limit my potential. Leading with faith, authenticity, and discipline allows me to serve both professionally and personally with clarity and conviction.
