Adriana Contreras is a permitting, right-of-way, and infrastructure professional with extensive experience in telecommunications, utilities, zoning, and municipal compliance. She currently serves as Project Manager at Breezeline, overseeing permit negotiations, 811 files, as-builds, agency coordination, and code-compliant network development. Her background includes permitting and real estate roles with Crown Castle, MasTec, a Miami developer, and Habitat for Humanity, where she handled zoning permits and worked with Miami-Dade County on deeds. She holds an architecture degree from Venezuela (1994), an architect title from Spain (2008), and a postgraduate degree in urban planning and structural studies (2009). She earned her PMP certification in May after two to three years of preparation and maintains memberships in the PMI Institute, as a public notary, and with the School of Architecture in Venezuela and Barcelona.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Never give up, always keep pushing.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Get education, be courageous, try to learn by visiting job sites with construction managers, have a mentor, and do your best.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
High competition among telecommunication companies requires providing excellent service. Economy is shrinking grants. The field is very demanding, and companies must be fast, reliable, and communicate better to stay relevant.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being kind to colleagues without losing authority, acting in a respectful and honest way, bringing my best effort, and maintaining high standards in my work.
