Alaina Graham
Alaina is Business Insights Analyst at AvidXchange, where she serves as a vital bridge between high-stakes financial operations and technical innovation. Specializing in ACH and NACHA operations, Alaina doesn't just manage payment flows; she redefines them. By partnering with developers to build custom automation flows, KPI trackers, and internal apps, she ensures that efficiency and accuracy exist at scale.
Her career path—beginning as a bank teller and advancing through global institutions like Wells Fargo and Citibank—is a testament to her "people-first" analytical approach. This perspective is sharpened by her unique academic background: a foundation in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design followed by a degree in Psychology.
Beyond her corporate impact, Alaina is a serial creator and entrepreneur. She is the founder of Seventh Grove, an e-commerce furniture store that allows her to channel her design eye into the home decor space. When she isn’t architecting payment systems or scaling her business, she is a credited songwriter and author, bringing the same precision and storytelling to music that she does to her professional life. A recipient of the AVID Excellence Award, Alaina also remains deeply committed to her community, volunteering with the Settlement Community Committee in Charleston, SC and advocating for women through Fighting for Fertility.

What do you attribute your success to?
Success, for me, has never been a solo endeavor. It is a reflection of the constant encouragement from my mother, my late father, my sisters, my partner, and my inner circle, as well as the guidance of my mentor and manager. I’ve paired that personal support with a professional mission to modernize treasury through technology and automation. By leading with honesty about my process, I’ve found that the strongest results come from authentic partnerships.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Focus on impact, not just action. We often exhaust ourselves thinking more projects equal more pay, but the real key is solving the right problems. If you focus on driving meaningful results and building strong partnerships, the career growth and compensation will take care of themselves.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Finance might not always be the flashiest industry, but the real 'gold' is in your network. Seek out the women who will challenge your thinking, advocate for your growth, and lift you up.
Don't just look for a seat at the table—look for the women who will help you build a bigger one.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges is navigating the rapid rise of AI, which has reshaped roles and led to significant layoffs across the tech landscape. At the same time, there’s a major opportunity through cohorts, workshops, and employer-supported learning programs that make it easier than ever to upskill and grow.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, transparency, and maintaining healthy boundaries.
