What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to passion. I love furniture, and I love so many aspects of it. Most of us need to earn a living however, to be successful to endure is to be passionate. I love materials, I love production, I love a manufacturing floor. I love a design story. I love a come-to-market strategy. I love brand growth, so I really am very interested in all aspects of commercial furniture. I love wood, and I love stone, I love learning about materials, I love learning about production, I love learning about different distribution strategies. I love it all. I have a thirst for knowledge, I have an excitement about sharing it, and in my current role, whether it was representing a brand or representing products that serve people's solutions, it's about sharing knowledge and finding solutions that work.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say young women should find something that you're passionate about, find something you enjoy doing, and then stick with it. You have to work hard, put time in, learn, grow. Work is hard, and you've gotta love the content, the subject matter. So find something you're passionate about, and then work hard and I think the success will follow. And success is not always what we think it will look like. Dare to dream.
