What do you attribute your success to?
I think it's just my work ethic, and I'm intrinsically motivated. Where some people look at things as a job, I look at it as a career. I'm always trying to do better, be better, and provide excellent service to clients. I seek recognition at work, which has been reflected on my resume by getting promoted every 2 years since I've been here. It's incredibly rewarding when you're noticed and your efforts are recognized, and you move up more.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is not to be afraid to take on new challenges or make mistakes, as mistakes are an important part of the learning process and professional growth.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be honest with your abilities and what you put on a resume. Don't settle for a position that you feel is beneath you, and always seek to improve and advance.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges I would say are keeping up with volume and complexities while trying to find adequate staff to help support it. Lately, a challenge I've been facing is trying to find the right next new hire that is the right fit. Some people just aren't working out in terms of experience. As for opportunities, there are chances to become involved with other clients and internal business initiatives, and to run a bigger team to scale.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I think honesty and work ethic are most important to me. Integrity is also crucial, and I think motivation drives everything I do.
