Amalia Gutierrez

Amalia Gutierrez is a highly experienced surgical professional with over 33 years in the field, specializing as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) and surgical technologist. She has spent more than six years at MountainView Regional Medical Facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico, assisting surgeons and nurses in a wide variety of procedures, including orthopedic, vascular, neurologic, and robotic surgeries. Known for her meticulous attention to maintaining a safe and sterile environment, Amalia ensures that equipment functions properly and that communication flows seamlessly among the surgical team, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to high-quality patient care. In addition to her clinical work, Amalia has dedicated herself to educating the next generation of surgical technologists. She has served as a surgical technology instructor at Southwest University and North-West College, where she teaches courses in surgical anatomy, physiology, instrumentation, procedures, and patient care.
