Angela Fuentes is an accomplished education professional and Assistant Principal at Fairfield Career Center, part of Eastland-Fairfield Career and Technical Schools in Ohio. Before assuming her current leadership role, Angela served as an Assistant Principal at Whitehall City Schools and spent several years as an Intervention Specialist in Columbus City Schools and The Children’s Home of Cincinnati. These experiences deepened her understanding of individualized education and the importance of adapting instruction to meet diverse student needs. Her postgraduate training at Grand Canyon University and TUI University—where she earned two master’s degrees in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction—reflects her lifelong dedication to learning and professional excellence.

Beyond her work in education, Angela is a passionate community advocate, volunteering with the Boone County Pee Wee Football League and serving on the advisory board for Colts Wrestling. Known for her analytical thinking, collaborative leadership, and positive energy, Angela continues to shape the future of education by fostering environments where teachers feel supported, and students are inspired to reach their full potential.

The biggest challenge in my field right now is remembering everything I’ve taught my students and finding ways to keep that knowledge fresh and relevant.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are ownership and accountability—I believe my space is my responsibility, and I can either make excuses or make it work; outside of work, I enjoy studying other cultures, listening to live music, spending time with my family, and cheering on Ohio State football.
