What do you attribute your success to?
Born between faiths, between truths, silence, and academics, Angela learned early in her military career that strength is not optional. Throughout her Army service, motherhood, federal teaching career, institutional disillusionment, and cancer, Angela constructs a life defined by integrity rather than circumstance.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
There will be seasons in your life when survival is your highest achievement so learn how to endure, how to steady yourself leaning against walls, and how to hold your head high when clarity is missing.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Integrity is refusing to collapse.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Being independent. The expense of kindness is challenging when good communication is not utilized so be proud of little accomplishments daily.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
If someone betrays you, demand truth — not perfection.
If your decision falters, fight to fix it or change it.
If your identity feels unclear, search until you find your true self.
Lastly, do not live with wounds - develop strength.
