My journey is defined by the "courage to pivot". I began my career as an assistant preschool teacher, rose to department head, and eventually transitioned into the corporate world as a business analyst. After a six-year period focused on family, I re-entered the workforce by rebuilding my technical toolkit from the ground up. I believe that English is a medium of communication, not a measure of intelligence; I lead with confidence, valuing human connection and data-driven results over "perfect" grammar. Outside of work, I am a writer and director, teaching drama and dance to help children in my community stay connected to their Indian heritage.

• Bachelor's degree in Communicative English (India)
• Bachelor's in Computer Application
• MBA (currently pursuing)

• Samhati (Bentonville Indian community organization)

• Learn and Giggle virtual platform (free educational program during COVID)
• Teaching drama and dance to children in the Indian community
• Writing and directing cultural performances

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my family’s unwavering support and my own "I can do it" attitude. My son is my greatest motivator; when he tells me he is proud of me, it pushes me to break new boundaries. I also credit my ability to ignore the "outside noise" and focus on my own path. I am the writer of my own story, and I take full ownership of every chapter, whether I am climbing fast or hanging onto a new branch.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I’ve received focuses on the value of time and respect. My boss often notes that "being on time" is a sign of respect for others. I’ve learned that time is the most valuable gift you can give someone. Whether I am speaking with an executive or an event specialist handling food on the floor, I give them my full time and attention. Everyone has a story, and there is immense value in hearing them.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don’t be afraid of a "full plate"—it is a blessing to have the opportunity to contribute. More importantly, do not compare your timeline to what you see on social media. If you see someone else getting a promotion or a new job, look at them as a good example of what is possible, but don't let it make you feel "behind". Work on yourself, stay hungry for new skills, and remember that you are the creator of your own journey.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest opportunity is the integration of Generative AI and automation into daily operations. It allows us to reduce manual processing and focus on strategic decision-making. The challenge, however, is time. In a fast-paced corporate environment, finding the balance between excelling professionally and being present for my son and community is a constant act of prioritization. I’ve learned to take small steps and be content with a pace that honors both my career and my family.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity and Ownership: I am the writer of my story; I don't blame outside circumstances for my path.

Cultural Connection: Keeping my son connected to his heritage and ensuring he can communicate with his grandparents is a core priority.

Empathy: Respecting every person I work with, regardless of their level or title.

Resilience: Being ready to catch a different branch if I fall while climbing the tree of my career.
