Anisa Selenica
Anisa Selenica is a talented Studio Technician and media professional based in the Greater Chicago Area. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Television Writing and Producing from Columbia College Chicago and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Television Production from the College of DuPage. Over the years, Anisa has developed extensive experience in television news, talk shows, and production, earning recognition as a two-time Emmy nominee with additional accolades from the Illinois Broadcasters Association and the SINBA Awards for Outstanding Videography.
Currently, Anisa works at ABC 7 Chicago, where she runs cameras for specials, behind-the-scenes features, and interviews, while also serving as an Adjunct Professor at the College of DuPage, teaching Introduction to Motion Picture & Television. She takes pride in mentoring her students, often bringing them to the station to experience hands-on production work firsthand. Her professional repertoire also includes producing content for Frequency TV at Columbia College Chicago and collaborating on creative projects across marketing and media platforms.
Anisa is passionate about telling impactful stories and is currently producing the documentary A Journey to Freedom, which explores historical and human rights themes. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys cooking, baking, nature walks, and kayaking. Anisa is fluent in both English and Albanian and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in European History, further blending her love of storytelling with historical insight.

I attribute my success to the passion I have for this industry. It drives me to continually learn, grow, and deliver my best in everything I do.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to never burn bridges—you never know who you might cross paths with in the future. Maintaining positive relationships has been invaluable in both my personal and professional growth.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is the time it takes for all stakeholders to reach agreement on a project. While this can be demanding, it also presents an opportunity to refine collaboration, strengthen communication, and ensure the final outcome truly reflects a collective vision.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important value to me in both my work and personal life is honesty. I believe that transparency and integrity form the foundation of trust, foster meaningful relationships, and guide ethical decision-making in every situation.
