Anita LaRaia is a longtime wine educator, speaker, and consultant, and the President of Anita LaRaia’s Win(e) School, Inc., which she has led since 1978. She is the author of Pick A Perfect Wine In No Time and has trained wine stores, private clubs, and restaurants while also speaking at high-profile wine events, including at the Bellagio in Las Vegas and in Bermuda. She has led luxury wine tours across renowned regions in Italy and France and is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier. She holds a master’s degree in Social Psychology from Cornell University.

Father, brother, uncle, nephew, husband, boyfriend, sons, colleagues, and bosses:
Dismiss me if you dare. You’ll be the first to look away — eyes downcast when you face our truth, and it is mighty. This is no lie. Women are for something more.
We are the mirror image of the best part of yourself. You cannot be a god without a goddess. There is no universe to master, for we are the mistresses of destiny.
Leading the forces of good in this world, we stand directly in the path of evil — brave beyond our bodies. We expect you to join us, to fight with us — not against us, and not among yourselves.
