About Anita

Anita Purandare is a fashion professional with more than 10 years of experience in the industry. After earning her post-graduate and graduate degrees in fashion, she began her career as a graphic designer in India before relocating to the USA with her husband. She has held management positions at Nordstrom and Macy's, including serving as an assistant store manager responsible for men's, women's, and children's areas, where she handled inventory audits, merchandising, buyer discussions, and store goal achievements. Anita is also actively involved in non-profit volunteering, serving as a communication committee member with Next Pacific Northwest, where she creates social media posts using Canva, and previously as marketing manager for ECA from 2022 to 2024, supporting thrift shop operations, funding, and awareness campaigns for hunger and mental health. She recently received the Mrs. Universe title for 2024-2025 in Washington, USA, and attributes her success to the support of her husband, an IT professional, and her mother, a homemaker, during her pageant journey. Her values, inspired by her father, emphasize dedication, helping others, family as a priority, and making a difference in the community.
