About Ann
Ann Tito is a Global Business Process Specialist for Travel & Expense (T&E) at Roche, a role she has held since 2015, where she supports global business process optimization, system improvements, and operational excellence within a leading biopharmaceutical organization. With 29 years of experience in business operations, financial processes, and enterprise systems, Ann has developed deep expertise in SAP, Concur, CitiManager, compliance, reporting, quality assurance, and user training. Her work focuses on creating efficient, scalable solutions that improve employee experiences, strengthen financial controls, and support organizational goals across global teams.
Throughout her career at Roche, Ann has played an instrumental role in advancing global process initiatives and strengthening shared service operations. She has trained and supported teams in Kuala Lumpur for Roche Canada and Roche RSTO, providing guidance in customer service, auditing, compliance, reporting, payroll, and employee finance processes. Since 2017, she has also served as an Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) professional, contributing to financial accuracy, governance, and regulatory compliance. Ann’s ability to integrate employee data into SAP platforms and streamline complex business processes has helped drive consistency and efficiency across international operations. She collaborates with cross-functional teams throughout Costa Rica, Germany, the United States, and Canada, bringing together diverse perspectives to achieve shared business objectives.
Ann’s professional success is rooted in her commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and her ability to connect people, processes, and technology. She earned her degree from Notre Dame between 2015 and 2020 and remains actively involved with the Roche and Genentech communities, as well as the All Souls Catholic School community, where she dedicated 10 years of service as chair. Beyond her career accomplishments, Ann places great importance on family, having celebrated 32 years of marriage, and believes in resilience, perseverance, and staying strong through life’s challenges. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my ability to streamline processes and create greater efficiency by bringing together employee data within the SAP platform we use. By integrating information, improving data accuracy, and developing effective solutions, I have been able to support better decision-making, enhance operational processes, and help teams work more effectively across the organization. My commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and leveraging technology to solve business challenges has been instrumental in achieving meaningful results throughout my career.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to stay strong no matter what challenges I encounter. Throughout my professional journey, I have learned the importance of resilience, perseverance, and maintaining a positive mindset during times of change and uncertainty. Staying committed to my goals, adapting to new opportunities, and continuing to grow professionally have helped me overcome obstacles and achieve success.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice I would give to young women entering the biopharmaceutical and healthcare industry is to build a strong foundation of knowledge and always remain curious and committed to learning. Understanding key concepts, developing technical expertise, and continuously expanding your skills will help you succeed in a rapidly evolving field. I also encourage young women to embrace challenges, stay confident in their abilities, and seek opportunities to grow, innovate, and make meaningful contributions to the industry.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field today is effectively collaborating with a global team that spans multiple countries, including Costa Rica, Germany, the United States, and Canada. Working across different time zones, cultures, and business environments requires strong communication, adaptability, and a shared commitment to achieving common goals. At the same time, this global collaboration creates valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge, improve processes, and develop innovative solutions that support a more connected and efficient organization. I believe embracing diversity, leveraging technology, and fostering strong relationships across teams are essential to successfully navigating the evolving global business landscape.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family is the most important value in both my work and personal life. My family provides me with a strong foundation of support, motivation, and purpose, influencing the way I approach relationships, responsibilities, and challenges. I believe the values I carry from my family, such as commitment, respect, compassion, and perseverance, guide me in building meaningful connections and contributing positively to the teams and communities I am part of.
