Ann Marie Gothard

Ann Marie Gothard is a board chair, founder, and strategist with a career spanning healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, and nonprofit leadership. Based in New York, she is widely recognized for her expertise in strategic communications, governance, and healthcare mergers and acquisitions. Over the course of her corporate career, including nearly a decade as Vice President of Global Corporate Media Relations at Henry Schein, Ann Marie led communications for more than 40 M&A transactions across North America and EMEA, helping global organizations navigate complexity, align stakeholders, and drive sustained growth.

In parallel with her corporate leadership, Ann Marie has built a powerful legacy in the nonprofit sector. She is the co-founder and Board Chair of Pride Live and the co-founder of the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center, the National Park Service’s first LGBTQ+ visitor center. Through strategic partnerships and investor engagement, she helped secure $3.5 million to bring the Visitor Center to life, transforming a historic moment into a permanent space for education, reflection, and community engagement. Her work exemplifies her ability to turn vision into reality through disciplined execution and compelling storytelling.

Ann Marie also serves as Chair of the Alliance of Nonprofits for Insurance (ANI), overseeing governance for an organization managing more than $400 million in assets and serving thousands of nonprofits nationwide. A graduate of Georgetown University with a B.A. in Political Science, she combines entrepreneurial spirit with strong governance and strategic insight. Whether in the boardroom or advancing social impact initiatives, Ann Marie is driven by creating meaningful, lasting change through thoughtful leadership, clear strategy, and purposeful communication.
