I attribute much of my success to the people who saw potential in me before I fully recognized it in myself. Early in my career, I was fortunate to have mentors who gave me the opportunity to transition from hospitality into property management and challenged me to keep growing. My mother also played an important role in shaping who I am, particularly my work ethic, resilience, and belief that you keep showing up even when the path forward isn't always clear.

I also credit my success to curiosity and a willingness to learn. I entered multifamily without knowing everything about the industry, but I was never afraid to ask questions, seek out the “why” behind a process, or admit when I didn't know something. The skills I developed in hospitality—reading people, solving problems in real time, communicating under pressure, and creating a great experience—became some of my greatest strengths as a leader.

Ultimately, I think success has come from a combination of having the right people willing to open doors for me and being willing to walk through them. I've tried to carry that forward by creating those same opportunities for others, because sometimes the most impactful thing a leader can do is recognize someone's potential and give them the confidence and opportunity to see it for themselves.

The best career advice I’ve received was to never underestimate the value of transferable skills. My hospitality background taught me how to communicate, problem-solve, and, most importantly, work with different personalities—all skills that became essential in property management.

As a leader, I’ve learned that you don’t just manage people; you lead different personalities. Everyone is motivated, communicates, and responds to feedback differently. Learning to adapt my approach without changing my expectations has been one of the most valuable lessons of my career.

Never stop asking questions and always seek to understand the “why” behind what you do. Stay curious, speak up, and don’t wait until you feel completely ready to step into an opportunity. Get involved, build relationships, and find mentors who challenge you to grow. Most importantly, trust that your voice and perspective have value—the more you use them, the more doors you’ll create for yourself.

Finding and retaining skilled service professionals continues to be one of our biggest operational challenges. But one of our greatest opportunities is making sure the talented women already working throughout multifamily have the visibility, support, and opportunities to lead. It’s not just about having a seat at the table—it’s about feeling confident enough to use your voice once you’re there.

The values most important to me are empathy, curiosity, authenticity, and connection. I believe in listening to understand, asking questions, and creating space for people to feel comfortable using their voice. I also value helping others recognize their own potential—sometimes before they see it themselves. Whether professionally or personally, I want people to feel that I showed up genuinely, supported their growth, and left them a little more confident than I found them.
