Kernersville, NC 27284

Ashley Sutton is a seasoned marketing professional specializing in public safety technology, currently serving as Global Senior Product Marketing Manager at Hexagon Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial. In this role, she leads the conception and execution of global marketing campaigns, shaping thought leadership and account-based strategies across the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. She played a key role in defining and productizing managed services for public safety, ensuring practical solutions that support first responders’ efficiency and well-being.

Ashley’s career in public safety began in 2019 with CentralSquare Technologies, despite having no prior experience in the field. She credits her early success to mentorship and the opportunity to prove herself, quickly building expertise across regional teams and client bases ranging from traditional police agencies to nontraditional dispatch environments like industrial campuses and amusement parks. Her approach emphasizes continuous learning, cross-cultural collaboration, and delivering marketing strategies that align closely with user needs in high-pressure environments.

Academically, Ashley holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from Durham University, where she also balanced her studies with competitive athletics, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Marketing from Winthrop University. She continues to pursue professional development through certifications such as Digital Marketing Foundations and SMART Goal Setting, while actively engaging with industry trends and public-safety organizations. Outside of work, Ashley values building strong professional relationships and supporting first responders through practical, regionally informed solutions.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the manager who took a chance on me and provided mentorship and structure, my graduate education, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women to be confident and present themselves—every interaction matters. Start with a simple “hello,” be willing to engage across languages and cultures, and focus on building relationships that can support your career long-term.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field is navigating a male-dominated industry while increasing female representation and confidence. Additionally, addressing regional and cultural differences across global markets, and focusing on first responders’ mental health and well-being, presents significant opportunities for impact.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are continuous growth, confidence, and supporting the mental health and well-being of first responders, alongside giving back to the community, including volunteer work in animal welfare.
