Her Interview

Ten minutes with Astrid

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being present, putting in the work, and taking the time to thoroughly understand each situation before making decisions or taking action. I believe dependability, teamwork, and collaboration are essential to achieving meaningful results, and I strive to be someone others can consistently rely on. I also remain committed to continuous learning and adapting to change, which has enabled me to grow professionally, navigate challenges effectively, and remain responsive to evolving opportunities and industry demands.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is to stay current, remain aware of what is happening around me, and never stop learning. Technology, industries, and business environments are constantly evolving, so it is important to remain adaptable and open to new ideas, skills, and perspectives. I believe continuous learning allows me to stay relevant, embrace change, identify new opportunities, and continue growing rather than becoming stagnant in an ever-changing professional landscape.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to stay informed about industry developments and emerging technologies while remaining committed to continuous personal and professional growth. Be open to collaboration, build strong relationships, and take the time to understand the dynamics and structures within your workplace, as navigating human relationships and organizational environments can sometimes be more challenging than the technical aspects of the work. Most importantly, remain confident, adaptable, and willing to learn from every experience. Developing both your expertise and your ability to collaborate effectively will help you build credibility, navigate challenges, and create meaningful opportunities for long-term success.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field is the rapid pace of technological change, with technologies and platforms evolving in months rather than over several years. While this requires organizations and professionals to remain adaptable and committed to continuous learning, it also creates tremendous opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and growth. Advances in AI, IoT, and emerging tools such as Base44 are opening new possibilities for developing solutions across education and business. I am particularly interested in leveraging AI and EdTech to expand access to quality education for women and children in rural communities, using technology to help bridge educational gaps and create more equitable opportunities for learning and development.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my professional and personal life are dependability, teamwork, and collaboration. I believe in being someone others can rely on while contributing positively to shared goals and creating an environment built on trust and mutual respect. I also value continuous learning and strive to remain open to new ideas, perspectives, and experiences that help me grow. Above all, I believe in being present and engaged with the people and projects I work with, taking the time to understand their needs and contributing with consistency, purpose, and care.
