Barbara Alsieux is a holistic healer and health expert based in West Orange, New Jersey. With more than 20 years of experience in holistic healing, she draws on her background as a self-employed professional and founder of parentalworldknowledge.com, a licensed business offering online resources and community education. Alsieux has worked as a life coach, helping clients navigate professional challenges, and has maintained memberships such as BPW while dedicating time to philanthropic efforts including the Leukemia Society, Epilepsy Foundation, and various cancer drives through her licensed talent corporation. She also instructs art and poetry for free as part of her charitable initiatives and has recently begun composing music as a BMI member.

01What do you attribute your success to?
The most loving and supportive parents who guided me to do charity starting at age 9 working with my mom, Ruth Hurewitz, Master Artist, with the Brownies instructing Art, then the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts & 2 religious organizations & as a teenager helping my dad who raised funds for the Veterans.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The late Jerry Leopaldi Head of the NJ Film Commission gave me full mentoring at his Theatrical Studio, Montclair, NJ & we ran Telephons together for MDA on Surburban Cable. Jerry Leopaldi gave me the confidence to appear on World TV & World Radio & National TV & National Radio.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You need to have 4 search engines. You need to have two security systems today, and don't worry about whatever you want to do, put your mind to it. Stick to it, don't be afraid, and just go forward. We can do it on our own.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I highly recommend applying to Marquis Worldwide Who’s Who after you master your field & I believe that you can obtain a lifetime membership listing, as I did.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is the most important thing in my life for my work and my personal life. Always value your reputation before money and you will always succeed. I could have sold my licensed business, Parental World Knowledge Dot Com for almost a million dollars 3 weeks after obtaining my license but, I choose not to because I would lose my license and as I stated reputation is more important to me. Also the company would have charged every person who visited our blog post and I did not want people who needed my Holistic Healing and Health Advice to suffer if they could not afford it. So I passed it up. I intend on doing a regular TV Show on YouTube for Holistic Healing and I believe having a license for Holistic Healing will get me my show.
