Betty Bennett is an award-winning director.

Her feature film ‘Soils of Evil’ and shorts ‘The Scarf’ and ‘The Scarf 2’ were all simultaneously accepted into the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) —a rare feat for any filmmaker.

Shortly after, her short ‘Receive Restore’ joined the lineup at the Louisville’s International Festival of Film (LIFF) alongside all three earlier works, with ‘The Scarf 2’ taking home Best Short.

Her latest short: 'My Protection, My Teacher, My Garden’ - The greatest of teachers, a garden and with the help of flowers, trees, animals, fruits and more provides perceptible wisdom.

Betty continues her tradition of creating intimate, powerful stories that explore resilience and transformation. Before stepping into the director’s chair, Betty built an extraordinary career as a script supervisor on major films, television series, and commercials.Trained by her mother, Isela Bennett—herself mentored by legendary director John Huston. Betty developed a meticulous eye for continuity, performance, and storytelling. Despite the challenges of dyslexia, she became one of the most respected script supervisors in the business, collaborating with directors and actors at the highest level.

A few of her credits as a script supervisor include long-running series such as: Miami Vice, Burn Notice, and The L Word, as well as feature films like Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Perez Family, She’s the Man, Race to Witch Mountain,You Again, and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.

Along the way as a script supervisor, she worked closely with acclaimed actors including Jamie Lee Curtis, Dwayne Johnson, Marisa Tomei, Sigourney Weaver, Billy Crystal, Jennifer Beals, and Bette Midler, among many others. These experiences gave her an unparalleled understanding of set dynamics, performance, and the collaborative spirit required to bring a script to life. Today, Betty brings that mastery to her own projects as a director. With a proven track record of award-winning films, decades of on-set experience, and a passion for telling bold, human stories, she is actively seeking new opportunities to direct features and shorts.

Betty Bennett is ready to lead productions that not only meet the highest professional standards but also leave a lasting impact on audiences.
