She has established a strong reputation for her expertise in cost analysis, utility hedging, financial reporting, and operational budget management. Brandi excels in providing actionable insights that enhance organizational financial performance, ensuring precise monitoring of variable input/output utilization, and guiding strategic decision-making for executive leadership. Throughout her career, Brandi has held key roles across multiple industries, including working for an elected official at the Champaign County Circuit Clerk, a senior auditor at Walgreens, and a promoted senior financial rep at PepsiCo. Her diverse experience spans overseeing multi-million-dollar budgets, leading audits, developing comprehensive financial procedures, and mentoring teams to improve operational efficiency. I attribute my success to a strong work ethic and an open mind. I approach every challenge with dedication and a willingness to learn, which allows me to adapt, grow, and achieve my goals.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Do not ever settle for anything less than what makes you genuinely happy.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
This isn't for the faint of heart, ladies. Be strong. 'A woman shall lead!'
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is that it remains predominantly male, which can sometimes create barriers to advancement and representation for women. At the same time, this presents a significant opportunity to drive change, bring diverse perspectives, and pave the way for more inclusive leadership and innovation within the industry.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me both professionally and personally are integrity, kindness, humor, and hard work. I strive to act with honesty and ethical responsibility, treat others with compassion, maintain a sense of joy and perspective, and give my best effort in everything I do.
