Ten minutes with Bridgett L
01What do you attribute your success to?
Bridgett attributes her success first and foremost to her relationship with God and the foundation of her faith. She believes her faith provides the discernment, direction, and strength she needs to overcome challenges, manage multiple businesses, and continue pursuing the goals she has established for herself and her community.
She also believes that success requires remaining teachable and surrounding herself with people who possess greater knowledge and experience. Kelly is always willing to learn, share what she knows, and help others succeed because she firmly believes that another person’s success does not diminish her own. Through faith, collaboration, and service, she remains committed to creating opportunities that allow individuals, families, businesses, and communities to grow together.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the most important lessons I have learned throughout my career is the value of sharing knowledge, remaining teachable, and surrounding myself with people whose experience and expertise can help me grow. I believe we become stronger when we are willing to learn from one another and support each other’s success.
My experience during the COVID-19 pandemic also taught me the importance of adaptability and diversification. As circumstances changed, I realized I needed to expand beyond insurance and create additional ways to serve my community. That realization motivated me to develop Loving Me More Being a Better You LLC into a broader organization that addresses a variety of healthcare, wellness, and community needs.
The best career advice I can share is to remain open to new opportunities, continue developing your skills, and never be afraid to adjust your direction when circumstances change. With faith, continuous learning, and a willingness to adapt, challenges can become new pathways for personal and professional growth.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women is to love themselves, believe in their abilities, establish clear goals, and never allow their present circumstances to determine their future. Surround yourself with successful, knowledgeable people who will challenge you, teach you, and encourage your growth.
I do not consider myself simply a dreamer. I am a woman who transforms ideas into reality through faith, determination, and action. Continue learning, remain confident, and be willing to help others along the way. Always remember that supporting another person’s success does not diminish your own potential—it creates opportunities for everyone to grow and succeed together.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I see significant opportunities to create comprehensive services that address the full range of needs experienced by individuals and families, rather than focusing on only one area of healthcare or insurance. My transition from insurance into a broader business model demonstrates how diversification can open new doors and allow businesses to serve their communities in more meaningful ways.
I believe there are especially important opportunities in home healthcare, veterans’ services, community wellness, affordable housing, and family-support programs. By bringing these services together and building strong community partnerships, we can create accessible, coordinated solutions for people who might otherwise struggle to locate the resources and support they need. My goal is to help close those gaps while creating lasting opportunities for individuals, families, and underserved communities.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Faith, service, community, mentorship, perseverance, and creating opportunities for others are at the heart of everything I do. I want my work to make a lasting difference—whether I am helping a client protect their family, mentoring a young woman, advocating for veterans, or developing resources for underserved families.
I believe in thinking beyond the present and building something that will benefit future generations. Over the next 10 years, my goal is to strengthen my businesses and community initiatives so they can remain sustainable and continue serving others long into the future. Ultimately, I hope to step back, spend more time with my grandchildren, and have the peace of knowing that I created something meaningful—a legacy of faith, service, opportunity, and lasting community impact.
