Britta Cabanos
Britta Cabanos is a visionary fashion educator, mentor, and community builder dedicated to empowering professionals to learn, grow, create, and connect with purpose. With over 30 years of experience in global fashion leadership, Britta has collaborated with iconic brands such as Donna Karan, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike Swim, and Nike’s Advanced Innovation Lab, gaining deep insights into design, brand strategy, and sustainable fashion innovation. Drawing from her own experience with the challenges of isolation and burnout in the fashion industry, she has made it her mission to create supportive spaces where creative professionals can thrive.
As the founder of Inside Fashion Design (IFD) and The Conscious Fashion Design Academy (TCFDA), Britta has built platforms that blend education, mentorship, and community-building to help designers, brand founders, and creatives navigate their careers with purpose and confidence. IFD and TCFDA stand out for their practical, values-driven approach to fashion education, offering workshops, mentoring, live events, and on-demand sessions that equip fashion professionals with the tools to design ethically, build sustainable businesses, and create lasting impact. Through these initiatives, Britta fosters environments where creativity, collaboration, and conscious decision-making intersect.
Beyond education, Britta is a co-founder of Creative Capital Design and the producer of the Ethical Fashion Festival, Global Fashion Impact, and other industry experiences that celebrate ethical and sustainable design. She actively contributes to shaping the global fashion conversation, from sustainability and emerging technologies to brand strategy and creative entrepreneurship. Passionate about mentorship, yoga, family, and community engagement, Britta continues to champion fashion as a force for creativity, connection, and positive change.
