Her Story

About Brittanie

Brittanie Chambers serves as a senior executive recruiter at LHH, where she focuses on technology recruitment. She partners with organizations across various industries, from those with as few as five employees to those with up to 20,000, while also supporting candidates who may be unemployed or passively exploring new opportunities. With nearly 10 years in the field, Brittanie transitioned from retail and the service industry into corporate staffing, quickly rising to become one of the top 10 new hires at her previous company, Robert Half, and consistently ranking in the top 10 globally each year thereafter. She earned her AA degree through Washington State's Running Start program shortly after high school and later obtained an English degree, which she now applies through her creative writing skills to effectively communicate candidate stories to clients. Brittanie attributes her success to her resilience and willingness to try new approaches, and she values transparency, integrity, empathy, and open communication in both her professional and personal life. She contributes to her community as a member of an education committee with technology networking chapters in Portland, where she speaks with high school and university students about diverse career paths in technology, including options that do not require a college degree. Brittanie advises young women entering the industry to trust in themselves, believe they are there for a reason, and never give up on their goals.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Brittanie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I'm very resilient. I do not like to give up. I'm always open to trying something different, even if it's something that I maybe don't fully buy into or agree to, I'm willing to try it to see if it works for me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Trust in yourself and follow your heart.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Just trust and believe in yourself. You're there for a reason. Never give up if it's something that you want, and there are so many ways to make it happen.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Unstable economy impacting tech work. Being a huge empath makes it hard hearing candidates' struggles, especially unemployed ones with great careers. Thankful for opportunities at LHH with women in leadership.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Transparency, always in communication, integrity, empathy, being creative and showing people how to be creative, willingness to hear hard things but being open to communication.
