Ten minutes with Brittany
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the leaders and mentors who have guided me throughout my career. Their support and constructive feedback have helped me recognize my strengths, identify areas for growth, and continuously develop my professional skills. I also believe that emotional maturity, integrity, and accountability are essential to long-term success, as they shape how I approach challenges, collaborate with others, and uphold high standards in my work.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that you don’t get the opportunities you don’t pursue. I believe in being proactive, taking initiative, and having the confidence to create opportunities rather than waiting for someone to offer them to me. Stepping forward, taking calculated risks, and being willing to grow beyond my comfort zone have been essential to my professional development and success.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering my industry not to wait for permission to succeed. Believe in your abilities, take initiative, pursue opportunities, and have the confidence to make your own path. Your growth and success are not dependent on someone else giving you permission to achieve them.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field is managing diverse expectations while ensuring that everyone’s needs are understood and addressed. I see this as an opportunity to strengthen communication, collaboration, and trust so that everyone can work together seamlessly toward shared goals.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity and openness are the values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life. I believe in being honest, transparent, and clear about expectations, while creating an environment where people feel comfortable communicating their needs. Setting clear expectations and maintaining open communication builds trust, strengthens relationships, and leads to better outcomes.
