Her Interview
Ten minutes with Carolina
01What do you attribute your success to?
My mother has been my biggest supporter, advocate, and mentor. Anytime I had doubts, she took them away. She's just a great person who's always been in my corner.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
It's better to say sorry than ask for permission. This helped me open up to stating my ideas and feedback without fear. I'd rather be a little uncomfortable but get an idea out that may be impactful rather than keeping it to myself. Taking it upon yourself to answer an email even if you might not get it right, rather than waiting a week.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The staffing industry has made strides from being male-dominated to more inclusive. Use your voice regardless of what anybody says. As long as data shows you're doing well, continue to do what you do. Just because you're outspoken doesn't mean you're difficult, so continue to be outspoken.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is the market in all senses of the form. A lot of people are still in an unknown phase especially in healthcare. People are leading with fear and reaction rather than proaction.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Authenticity is primary across all boards. Being your authentic self, putting forward who you are and what you are in the front with no surprises.
