Her Interview
Ten minutes with Caroline
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to grit, perseverance, and the strong examples set by the women in my life, including my sisters, mother-in-law, and mother. Their determination, resilience, and ability to overcome challenges while continuing to move forward have inspired me to approach every opportunity with dedication and a solutions-focused mindset. Their example has taught me the importance of hard work, adaptability, and taking initiative to get things done, values that continue to guide me both personally and professionally.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to not take things personally and to always approach situations with understanding and perspective. Taking a step back, considering someone else’s point of view, and responding with empathy can lead to stronger relationships and better outcomes. I believe in honoring commitments, delivering on what I promise, and conducting myself with integrity and respect in every professional interaction. These principles have helped me build trust, navigate challenges, and create meaningful connections throughout my career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the construction and service industries is to embrace their unique perspectives and never feel intimidated by a traditionally male-dominated environment. There is tremendous opportunity for women to make a meaningful impact, and their ideas, skills, and experiences bring valuable contributions to the industry. I encourage women to have confidence in their voices, recognize the value they bring to the table, and remain open to listening and learning from the perspectives of others. By leading with confidence, collaboration, and respect, women can continue to build successful and rewarding careers in this field.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is helping customers understand the difference between simply choosing the lowest price and recognizing the value that comes with quality workmanship, trusted service, and long-term solutions. While price competition can be challenging, it also creates an opportunity to educate homeowners and demonstrate the importance of reliability, expertise, and meeting their specific needs. By providing streamlined services, building trust, and consistently delivering exceptional experiences, businesses can create lasting value and become a trusted partner for homeowners.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity and respect. I believe that treating everyone with kindness, professionalism, and respect while consistently acting with honesty and accountability creates a strong foundation for success. Leading with integrity allows me to build trust, foster meaningful relationships, and adapt effectively across any industry or environment. These values guide the way I approach challenges, collaborate with others, and deliver on my commitments.
