Cassandra Lindsey is a seasoned healthcare administration professional with over a decade of experience in medical practice management. She currently serves as the Practice Manager at Peninsula Pediatrics, where she oversees staff management, credentialing, billing, and client relations, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient care. Cassandra has previously held leadership roles at West Coast Pediatrics and Le Medical Care, where she honed her expertise in collections, payroll, medical records, and team training.
In addition to her professional work, Cassandra is a published author of a three-part e-book series on medical billing, demonstrating her commitment to education and knowledge-sharing in the healthcare field. She earned her associate degree in Billing and Coding from ATA Career Education, which laid the foundation for her success in medical administration.
Outside of her practice management responsibilities, Cassandra dedicates her time to youth development through coaching cheerleading teams and volunteering with local organizations. What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my mom, who showed me the value of hard work from a young age. Starting at 14 by helping her at work, I built experience early, and by 18 I began my career in hospital billing, which led to a coordinating position and a path I’ve been dedicated to ever since.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is simple: you can do anything you put your mind to, never let anything get in your way. You can do it.

My advice to young women entering this industry is to believe in yourself—if you put your mind to it, you can do it.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is helping businesses and individuals understand how medical coding works.
