What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my mom, who showed me the value of hard work from a young age. Starting at 14 by helping her at work, I built experience early, and by 18 I began my career in hospital billing, which led to a coordinating position and a path I’ve been dedicated to ever since.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is simple: you can do anything you put your mind to, never let anything get in your way. You can do it.

My advice to young women entering this industry is to believe in yourself—if you put your mind to it, you can do it.

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is helping businesses and individuals understand how medical coding works.
