About Cat
As an HR generalist at Malarkey Roofing Products, I wear many hats and embrace being the problem solver people turn to when they need answers. I lead recruitment for our sales team, and I'm passionate about selling our brand and getting people excited about the possibilities in manufacturing. Beyond traditional HR work, I'm deeply involved in community engagement and service-oriented leadership. I volunteer at my children's schools conducting mock interviews and work closely with trade programs to connect students with employers. I was previously president of Pop Warner Football and Cheer, and that community service element very much carries into my leadership style at work. I'm currently working with my VP to streamline a pre-electrical apprenticeship program because we desperately need more young people entering skilled trades like electricians. Through Malarkey Cares, I volunteer for community events like helping set up for the Shamrock Run. I lead with integrity and show up intentionally in everything I do, treating people the way they deserve to be treated. That's what makes me a leader.

Ten minutes with Cat
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to treating people the way that they deserve to be treated. I'm intentional about who I am and how I show up in the world, and I lead with integrity, unwavering in that space. That's what makes me a leader.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be patient with yourself. Not everything has to happen right away, and you don't have to make so many decisions immediately. Learn what you love and love what you do. Don't wait until everything is perfect - if you're at 80%, just do it, because you'll never do it if you wait for 100%. Pay attention to what's at the core of what you want to do. Money will come and go, but what you're passionate about and how you step out into the world with that passion, that's what's important. Pay attention to your true self - I think that's just so important.
